Microstructure and mechanical properties of (TiB+TiC)/Ti composites fabricated in situ via selective laser melting of Ti and B4C powders
Changjun Han,Rita I. Babicheva,Jasper Dong Qiu Chua,Upadrasta Ramamurty,Shu Beng Tor,Chen-Nan Sun,Kun Zhou +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of the B4C content on the printability, microstructure and mechanical properties of SLM-printed (TiB + TiC)/Ti composites was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Discrete breathers in alpha-uranium
R. T. Murzaev,Rita I. Babicheva,Kun Zhou,Elena A. Korznikova,Sergey Yu. Fomin,Vladimir Dubinko,Sergey V. Dmitriev,Sergey V. Dmitriev +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the existence of discrete breathers (DBs) in α-uranium is demonstrated and their properties are studied using molecular dynamics, and it is found that DB frequency lies above the phonon band and increases with DB amplitude.
Journal ArticleDOI
Atomistic simulation study of GO/HKUST-1 MOF membranes for seawater desalination via pervaporation
TL;DR: In this article, molecular dynamics simulations of the pervaporation process are conducted to investigate the desalination performance of composite membranes composed of an HKUST-1 sheet and graphene oxide (GO) layers introduced to enhance its stability in water.
Journal ArticleDOI

Rita I. Babicheva,Rita I. Babicheva,Sergey V. Dmitriev,Sergey V. Dmitriev,Lichun Bai,Ying Zhang,Shaw Wei Kok,Guozheng Kang,Kun Zhou +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the deformation mechanisms of nanocrystalline (NC) pure Al and NC Al-Co and Al-Mg binary alloys are studied via molecular dynamics simulation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of grain boundary segregations of Fe, Co, Cu, Ti, Mg and Pb on small plastic deformation of nanocrystalline Al
Rita I. Babicheva,Sergey V. Dmitriev,Sergey V. Dmitriev,Ying Zhang,Shaw Wei Kok,Narasimalu Srikanth,Bo Liu,Kun Zhou +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of grain boundary (GB) segregation of impurity atoms (Fe, Co, Cu, Ti, Mg and Pb) on the stress-strain relations of nanocrystalline Al and its alloys subjected to both shear plastic deformation and hydrostatic pressure at room temperature using molecular dynamics simulations.
