Stereochemical configuration and selective excitation of the chiral molecule halothane
M. Pitzer,G. Kastirke,Phillip Burzinsky,M. Weller,D. Metz,Jonathan Neff,M. Waitz,Florian Trinter,Lothar Ph. H. Schmidt,Joshua B. Williams,Till Jahnke,Horst Schmidt-Böcking,Robert Berger,Reinhard Dörner,Markus Schöffler +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, X-ray single-photon ionization and fragmentation of the chiral molecule halothane from a racemic mixture were investigated using the cold target recoil ion momentum spectroscopy technique.
Journal ArticleDOI
Direct Determination of Molecular Handedness via Coulomb Explosion Imaging
M. Pitzer,Maksim Kunitski,G. Kastirke,Till Jahnke,T. Bauer,C. Goihl,Florian Trinter,C. Schober,K. Henrichs,J. Becht,S. Zeller,H. Gassert,M. Waitz,Andreas Kuhlins,F. Wiegandt,R. Wallauer,L. Ph. H. Schmidt,Manuel Mazenauer,Benjamin Spenger,Sabrina Marquardt,Horst Schmidt-Böcking,Jürgen Stohner,R. Dörner,Markus Schöffler,Robert Berger +24 more
TL;DR: In this paper, Coulomb explosion imaging was used to determine the exact configuration of a chiral molecule with femto-second laser pulses and X-ray synchrotron light.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cumulant expansion for fast estimate of non-Condon effects in vibronic transition profiles
Joonsuk Huh,Robert Berger +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors extended the cumulant expansion approach for Franck-Condon profiles to describe also the profiles of vibronic transitions that are weakly allowed or forbidden in the Franck Condon approximation (non-condon profiles), and proposed a coherent state-based generating function that accounts for the Duschinsky effect.
