Journal ArticleDOI
Parity Violation Dominates the Dynamics of Chirality in Dichlorodisulfane
TL;DR: Electroweak and tunneling dynamics calculations demonstrate that the de lege asymmetry arising from the parity-violating energy difference ΔEpv between the two enantiomers ((P)- and (M)-ClSSCl, the figure shows the torsional potentials) dominates by far over the tunneling splitting in the symmetrical case.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of the relative configuration of a five-membered lactone from residual dipolar couplings.
Christina M. Thiele,Christina M. Thiele,Andreas Marx,Robert Berger,Jana Fischer,Markus Biel,Athanassios Giannis +6 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Ab initio study of radium monofluoride (RaF) as a candidate to search for parity- and time-and-parity–violation effects
A. D. Kudashov,A. D. Kudashov,Alexander Petrov,Alexander Petrov,Leonid V. Skripnikov,Leonid V. Skripnikov,N. S. Mosyagin,N. S. Mosyagin,T. A. Isaev,T. A. Isaev,Robert Berger,Robert Berger,Anatoly V. Titov,Anatoly V. Titov +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, the suitability of RaF for experimental search of $P$- and $T$-and-$P$--violating interactions has been evaluated and the parameters of the spin-rotational Hamiltonian have been calculated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bis(arylvinyl)pyrazines, -pyrimidines, and -pyridazines As Imaging Agents for Tau Fibrils and β-Amyloid Plaques in Alzheimer’s Disease Models
Alexander Boländer,Daniel Kieser,Constantin Voss,Silvia Bauer,Christian Schön,Steffen Burgold,Tobias Bittner,Jana Hölzer,Roland Heyny-von Haußen,Gerhard Mall,Valérie Goetschy,Christian Czech,Henner Knust,Robert Berger,Jochen Herms,Ingrid Hilger,Boris Schmidt +16 more
TL;DR: The synthesis and evaluation of fluorescent pyrazine, pyrimidine, and pyridazine derivatives in vitro and in vivo aiming at a tau-based diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease are reported, finding an AD-related deposition of tau aggregates in the Bowman's glands of the olfactory epithelium, which holds potential for an endoscopic diagnosis of AD in the Olfactory system.
Journal ArticleDOI
On the Treatment of Conformational Flexibility when Using Residual Dipolar Couplings for Structure Determination
Christina M. Thiele,Volker Schmidts,Benjamin Böttcher,Iria Louzao,Iria Louzao,Robert Berger,Arnold Maliniak,Baltzar Stevensson +7 more
TL;DR: Two alternative routes are discussed for the treatment of conformational equilibrium in a moderately flexible compound (see the superposition of the two conformers of the butyrolactone studied) when residual dipolar couplings are used.
