Omalizumab in patients with symptomatic chronic idiopathic/spontaneous urticaria despite standard combination therapy

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the safety and efficacy of 24 weeks of treatment with omalizumab in patients with persistent chronic idiopathic urticaria/chronic spontaneous urticria (CIU/CSU) despite treatment with H 1 -antihistamines at up to 4 times the approved dose plus H 2 -antiHistamines, leukotriene receptor antagonists, or both.

Increase in exhaled nitric oxide levels in patients with difficult asthma and correlation with symptoms and disease severity despite treatment with oral and inhaled corticosteroids

TL;DR: Exhaled NO may serve as a useful complement to lung function and symptomatology in the assessment of patients with chronic severe asthma, and in the control and rationalisation of steroid therapy in these patients.
