Organohypervalent iodine: development, applications, and future directions.

TL;DR: The synthetic utility of organohypervalent iodine reagents will be illustrated by their use in the alpha-Hydroxydimethylacetal formation reaction from enolizable ketones, alpha-hydroxylation,alpha-tosyloxylation and arylation ofketones, carbon-carbon bond formation, and intramolecular cyclopropanation using iodonium ylides.
Journal ArticleDOI

Carbon-Carbon Bond Formation Via Hypervalent Iodine Oxidations

TL;DR: In this article, Georg Thieme et al. describe the generation of Benzyne and its reaction to Indolyliodonium salts and their reactions to perfluoroalkylation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation of methyl carbamates from primary alkyl- and arylcarboxamides using hypervalent iodine

TL;DR: A series of 14 primary alkyl- and arylcarboxamides were treated with PhI(OAc) 2 in KOH-CH 3 OH at 5-10 o C to give the corresponding methyl carbamates in good to excellent yields.
