Hyponatremia in Psychogenic Polydipsia
Mavidi K. Hariprasad,Robert P. Eisinger,Irving M. Nadler,Capecomorin S. Padmanabhan,Bernard D. Nidus +4 more
TL;DR: Twenty psychotic patients with psychogenic polydipsia had hyponatremia lasting up to 28 months, with headache, hypertension, dementia, seizures, lethargy, and coma, thus suggesting a "reset osmostat" or antidiuretic hormone response to nonosmotic stimuli.

T cell subsets and cellular immunity in end-stage renal disease
Karel Raska,Jana Raskova,Stephen M. Shea,Richard M. Frankel,Robert H. Wood,John Lifter,Ibrahim Ghobrial,Robert P. Eisinger,Leroy Homer +8 more
TL;DR: The T lymphocyte population was studied by immunofluorescent staining with monoclonal antibodies and laser flow cytometry in the blood of 50 patients with end-stage renal disease undergoing long-term maintenance intermittent hemodialysis and the in vitro response of patients' lymphocytes was reduced.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tuberculosis in dialyzed patients.
TL;DR: Patients on maintenance dialysis have a greater chance of contracting tuberculous infection, and an awareness of the increased susceptibility of dialysis patients to tuberculosis should lead to the prompt institution of therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Indomethacin-associated acute renal failure
TL;DR: A 61 year old man experienced oliguric acute renal failure during therapy with indomethacin and proteinuria and hypertension, which accompanied renal insufficiency, cleared with recovery of function, which may suggest drug-associated acute kidney failure.
