Journal ArticleDOI

Growth of carbon nanostructures using a Pd-based catalyst.

TL;DR: Results indicate the decomposition of acetylene on a palladium based catalyst produces the best degree of graphitization in carbon nanotubes for a temperature of 800 degrees C and 100 cc/min of hydrogen flow.
Journal ArticleDOI

Energy loss distribution of proton beams at normal incidence on multi-walled carbon nanotubes

TL;DR: In this article, the irradiation with energetic proton beams impinging normal to the axis of a multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) is studied both experimentally and theoretically, in the 2-10-kV energy range.
Journal ArticleDOI

Energy loss of protons in carbon nanotubes: Experiments and calculations

TL;DR: In this paper, the energy loss of protons in multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) samples, both experimentally and theoretically, was studied. But the authors focused on the energy losses of the protons interacting with the MWCNTs and the amorphous carbon film after analyzing the signals coming from both types of carbon allotropes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Germanium nanoparticles from solvated atoms: synthesis and characterization

TL;DR: In this article, Germanium nanoparticles were synthesized by the chemical liquid deposition method (CLD) in which the Ge atoms, produced resistively, were co-deposited with 2-propanol, acetone and tetrahydrofurane vapors to obtain colloidal dispersions.
