Journal ArticleDOI

CGP 35348: a centrally active blocker of GABAB receptors.

TL;DR: Ionophoretic and behavioural experiments showed that GABAB receptors in the brain were blocked after i.p. administration of CGP 35348, which appeared to be 10-30 times more potent than the GABAB receptor blocker phaclofen.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phosphinic acid analogues of GABA. 2. Selective, orally active GABAB antagonists.

TL;DR: In exploring GABA and baclofen derivatives by replacing the carboxylic acid residue with various phosphinic acid groups, more potent and water soluble GABAB antagonists were discovered, suggesting potential cognition enhancing effects.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phosphinic acid analogues of GABA. 1. New potent and selective GABAB agonists.

TL;DR: The syntheses and biological properties of two new series of GABAB agonists, the best compounds of which are more potent than baclofen in vitro and in vivo are described, providing new muscle relaxant drugs with significantly improved side effect profiles.
Journal ArticleDOI

The importance of fluorine in the life science industry

Peter Maienfisch, +1 more
- 01 Mar 2004 -
TL;DR: The structures of the fluorine-containing development compounds proposed for ISO common names between 1997 and 2002 are highlighted in this paper and the positive effects of fluorine on the biological efficiency are outlined.

Spiroheterocyclic n-oxypiperidines as pesticides

TL;DR: A compound of the formula (I), wherein the substituents are as defined in claim 1, are useful as a pesticides as discussed by the authors, and a compound of I can be used as a pesticide.
