Journal ArticleDOI

Risk of gestational diabetes mellitus in patients undergoing assisted reproductive techniques

TL;DR: It is indicated that the risk of GDM is two-fold higher in women with singleton pregnancies conceived following ART compared with women who conceived spontaneously and progesterone use during pregnancy was found to be an important risk factor for GDM.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gestational diabetes mellitus risk factors in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)

TL;DR: Pregnant Iranian women with a history of infertility and PCOS are at increased risk for developing GDM and it is recommendable to perform screening test for GDM in PCOS women with ART treatment, irregular menses and high serum triglycerides level in the early stage of pregnancy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Obstetric and perinatal outcomes of singleton pregnancies conceived via assisted reproductive technology complicated by gestational diabetes mellitus: a prospective cohort study.

TL;DR: GDM occurring after ART conception increases the risk of adverse obstetric and perinatal outcomes, and higher maternal age and pre-gravid BMI, shorter duration of gestation and lower gestational weight gain were observed in GDM groups (ART-G DM and SC-GDM) compared to those of the SC group.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metabolic syndrome in infertile women with polycystic ovarian syndrome.

TL;DR: It seems the prevalence of metabolic syndrome in Iranian women with polycystic ovary syndrome isn't as high as western countries, and one of the major cardiovascular risk factors, low level of HDL-C, is the most prevalent metabolic abnormality in participants.
Journal ArticleDOI

Predictive factors of gestational diabetes in pregnancies following assisted reproductive technology: a nested case–control study

TL;DR: The route of progesterone administration, previous OHSS risk and history of PCOS seem to be putative risk factors for GDM in women conceived by ART in singleton pregnancy following assisted reproductive technology.
