A Familial Hypercholesterolemia Human Liver Chimeric Mouse Model Using Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell-derived Hepatocytes.

TL;DR: A human liver chimeric mouse model using FH induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived hepatocytes (iHeps) that responded to lipid-lowering drugs and recapitulated clinical observations of increased efficacy of PCSK9 antibodies compared to statins could be useful for preclinical testing of new therapies to FH.
Journal ArticleDOI

Generation of a human iPSC line GIBHi002-A-2 with a dual-reporter for NKX2-5 using TALENs

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the exon 1 coding region of NKX2-5 from a human iPSC line iPSN0003 using TALENs to monitor and optimize cardiac differentiation procedures via the cardiac progenitor cells (CPCs).
