Journal ArticleDOI
Carbon Dioxide-Promoted Three-Component Strecker Reaction
TL;DR: In this article, a three-component Strecker reaction of aldehydes, amines and KCN was performed in supercritical carbon dioxide, where non-toxic and non-flammable carbon dioxide acts not only as an environmentally benign reaction medium but also as reaction promoter via in situ formation of carbonic acid which provides a gradual release of the true cyanating agent (HCN) from available KCN.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nitration of aromatics with dinitrogen pentoxide in a liquefied 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane medium
Alexandr K. Kharchenko,Ruslan V. Fauziev,Mikhail N. Zharkov,Ilya V. Kuchurov,Sergei G. Zlotin +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, an eco-friendly nitrating agent, namely dinitrogen pentoxide (DNP), was used in the medium of liquefied 1,1, 1,2-tetrafluoroethane (TFE) for the production of nitroaromatics.
