Observation of forward neutrons from the break-up of the 11Li neutron halo
R. Anne,S.E. Arnell,R. Bimbot,H. Emling,D. Guillemaud-Mueller,P. G. Hansen,L. Johannsen,Björn Jonson,M. Lewitowicz,S. Mattsson,A.C. Mueller,Rainer Neugart,Göran Hugo Nyman,F. Pougheon,Achim Richter,K. Riisager,M. G. Saint-Laurent,G. Schrieder,O. Sorlin,K. Wilhelmsen +19 more
TL;DR: In this article, the cross-sections and forward angular distributions of fast neutrons have been studied for the reaction (11Li, 9Li) at 29 MeV/u on targets of Be, Ni and Au.
Journal ArticleDOI
A 2π neutron and γ-ray multiplicity filter for the NORDBALL detection system
TL;DR: In this paper, a 2π neutron and γ-ray multiplicity filter designed as a part of the NORDBALL detection system is described, which consists of ten hexagon and six pentagon shaped detectors filled with BC501 liquid scintillator.
Journal ArticleDOI
States of high spin in 87Sr, 88Sr and 89Sr
TL;DR: In this article, in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy was used to study the de-excitation of high-spin states in the core nucleus of the core of the Sun.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dissociation reactions of the 11Be one-neutron halo. The interplay between structure and reaction mechanism
R. Anne,S.E. Arnell,R. Bimbot,S. Dogny,H. Emling,Henning Esbensen,D. Guillemaud-Mueller,P. G. Hansen,P. Hornshøj,F. Humbert,Björn Jonson,M Keim,M. Lewitowicz,P. Møller,A.C. Mueller,Rainer Neugart,Thomas Nilsson,Gunnar Nyman,F. Pougheon,K. Riisager,M. G. Saint-Laurent,G. Schrieder,O. Sorlin,Olof Tengblad,K. Wilhelmsen Rolander,D. Wolski +25 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the angular distribution of the forward neutrons in the exclusive (Be-10 + n) channel has been measured and the results show that the transverse momentum distributions result from an interplay between the tail of the wave function (the halo) and the reaction mechanism.
Journal ArticleDOI
Two-neutron removal reactions for very neutron-rich nuclei
K. Riisager,R. Anne,S.E. Arnell,R. Bimbot,H. Emling,D. Guillemaud-Mueller,P. G. Hansen,L. Johannsen,Björn Jonson,A. Latimier,M. Lewitowicz,S. Mattsson,A.C. Mueller,Rainer Neugart,Gunnar Nyman,F. Pougheon,A. Richard,Achim Richter,M. G. Saint-Laurent,G. Schrieder,O. Sorlin,K. Wilhelmsen +21 more
TL;DR: In this article, the two-neutron removal reactions of beams of 11 Li, 14 Be and 8 He upon Be, Ni and Au targets were studied at 30 MeV/u.
