Journal ArticleDOI
Interferometric laser imaging for droplet sizing: a method for droplet-size measurement in sparse spray systems.
TL;DR: A full-field, time-resolved interferometric method for the characterization of sparse, polydisperse spray systems is reported, which makes use of the angular intensity oscillations in the wide-angle forward-scatter region.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improved precision of single-shot temperature measurements by broadband CARS by use of a modeless laser
TL;DR: The use of a novel modeless laser as the broadband source in multiplex CARS thermometry, by reducing the laser noise on the CARS spectra, is shown to give a precision of approximately 1 % in single-shot temperature measurements in nitrogen at 1200 K.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Effects of Fuel Composition on In-Cylinder Air/Fuel Ratio During Fuelling Transients in an SI Engine, Measured Using Differential Infra-Red Absorption
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Studies of Mixture Preparation in a Spark Ignition Engine Using Interferometric Laser Imaging for Droplet Sizing (ILIDS)
Book ChapterDOI
Degenerate Four Wave Mixing and Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering: Applications in Combustion Diagnostics – Species Imaging and Improved Temperature Measurements
TL;DR: In this article, a new method of 2D imaging of atomic and molecular species in flames using the nonlinear optical process of resonant Degenerate Four-Wave Mixing (DFWM) was proposed.
