Journal ArticleDOI
Afferent and efferent connections of the interpeduncular nucleus with special reference to circuits involving the habenula and raphe nuclei.
Leandro B. Lima,Debora Bueno,Fernanda Helena Marrocos Leite,S. R. Souza,Luciano de Souza Gonçalves,Isadora C. Furigo,Jose Donato,Martin Metzger +7 more
TL;DR: These findings indicate that IP is closely associated to a distributed network of midline structures that modulate hippocampal theta activity and forms a node linking MHb and LHb with this network, and the hippocampus, and support a cardinal role of GABAergic IP/MnR interconnections in the behavioral response to nicotine.
Journal ArticleDOI
Energy dependence of multifragmentation in 84Kr+197Au collisions.
Graham F. Peaslee,M. B. Tsang,C. Schwarz,M. J. Huang,W. S. Huang,W. C. Hsi,C. Williams,Wolfgang Bauer,D. R. Bowman,Marielle Chartier,J. D. Dinius,C. K. Gelbke,T. Glasmacher,D. O. Handzy,M. A. Lisa,W. Friedman,N. Carlin +32 more
TL;DR: The relationship between observed intermediate mass fragment and total charged particle multiplicities has been measured for [sup 84]Kr + [sup 197]Au collisions at energies between [ital E]/[ital A]=35 and 400 MeV.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors extracted charge and transverse energy distributions for intermediate mass fragments for central Kr1Au collisions at E/A5352400 MeV and showed that the slopes of the measured fragment charge distributions decrease monotonically with incident energy, consistent with the expectations for highly charged systems.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mass Dependence of Directed Collective Flow.
M. J. Huang,R. Lemmon,F. Daffin,W. G. Lynch,C. Schwarz,M. B. Tsang,C. Williams,Pawel Danielewicz,Kevin Haglin,Wolfgang Bauer,N. Carlin,R. J. Charity,R. T. de Souza,C. K. Gelbke,W. C. Hsi,W. C. Hsi,G. TL;DR: Direct sidewards flow is considered as an important signature of nuclear compression and thus is sensitive to the nuclear equation of state, and reflects the interplay of collective and random motions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Connections of the laterodorsal tegmental nucleus with the habenular-interpeduncular-raphe system.
Debora Bueno,Leandro B. Lima,Rudieri Souza,Luciano de Souza Gonçalves,Fernanda Helena Marrocos Leite,S. R. Souza,Isadora C. Furigo,Jose Donato,Martin Metzger +8 more
TL;DR: Findings indicate that the habenula is linked with L DTg either by direct reciprocal projections from/to LHbM or indirectly via the MHb‐IP axis, supporting a functional role of LDTg in the regulation of aversive behaviors, and further characterizing LHb as a master controller of ascending brainstem state‐setting modulatory projection systems.
