Journal ArticleDOI
Alkaloid production in Catharanthus roseus (L.) G. Don. : VI. Variation in alkaloid spectra of cell lines derived from one single leaf.
TL;DR: Analysis of 76 cell clones derived from one leaf of a periwinkle plant showed the occurrence of Corynanthe, Strychnos, and Aspidosperma-type alkaloids, and the majority of clones displayed compounds of all three types.
Journal ArticleDOI
Isolation, Fusion and Culture of Sorghum and Corn Protoplasts
TL;DR: Fusion between protoplast from cell cultures of sorghum and leaf protoplasts of corn has been achieved using polyethylene glycol and the fusion products underwent divisions and formed colonies consisting of 8-10 cells in 15-18 days.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tissue Culture of Corn and Sorghum
TL;DR: Cytology of callus, cell suspension cultures, and regenerated plants indicated a strong prevalence of polyploidization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Alkaloid Production in Catharanthus roseus Cell Cultures X. Mitotoxic Effect of 3′,4′-Dehydrovinblastine

TL;DR: Cell of established callus and suspension cultures derived from anther walls of periwinkle, Catharanthus roseus (L.) Don, responded to 0.2 x 10-3 M 3′,4′-dehydrovinblastine and vincristine with C-mitosis and did not exert mitotoxicity.
