Journal ArticleDOI
In-vitro phytochemical and pharmacological bio-efficacy studies on Azadirachta indica A. Juss and Melia azedarach Linn for anticancer activity.
T.R.J. Jeba Malar,J. Antonyswamy,Ponnuswamy Vijayaraghavan,Young Ock Kim,Abdullah A. Al-Ghamdi,Mohamed Soliman Elshikh,Ashraf A. Hatamleh,Monerah A. Al-Dosary,Sae Won Na,Hak-Jae Kim +9 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that the crude methanolic extracts of A. indica and M. azedarach possess significant phytochemical properties compared to other extracts and hence they can be exploited for plant based anticancer and antimicrobial agents in the near future.
Journal ArticleDOI
Panax ginseng Improves Functional Recovery after Contusive Spinal Cord Injury by Regulating the Inflammatory Response in Rats: An In Vivo Study
Young Ock Kim,Youngkyung Kim,Ko-eun Lee,Sae Won Na,Seon Pyo Hong,Mariadhas Valan Arasu,Young Wook Yoon,Junesun Kim +7 more
TL;DR: Results suggest that P. ginseng may improve the recovery of motor function after SCI which provides neuroprotection by alleviating posttraumatic inflammatory responses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Growth promoting activity of Penaeus indicus by secondary metabolite producing probiotic bacterium Bacillus subtilis isolated from the shrimp gut
Young Ock Kim,Shahid Mahboob,Ponnuswamy Viayaraghavan,Devadhasan Biji,Khalid A. Al-Ghanim,Fahad A. Al-Misned,Zubair Ahmed,Jun-Tack Kwon,Sae Won Na,Hak-Jae Kim +9 more
TL;DR: The present finding revealed enhanced growth at high bacteriocin concentration at 2×102 CFU/ 100 g probiotics in feed, which enhanced the growth than control shrimp.
Journal ArticleDOI
A herbal formula, comprising Panax ginseng and bee-pollen, inhibits development of testosterone-induced benign prostatic hyperplasia in male Wistar rats.
Hyun Kyung Park,Su Kang Kim,Sang Won Lee,Joo-Ho Chung,Byung-Cheol Lee,Sae Won Na,Chun Gun Park,Young Ock Kim +7 more
TL;DR: Results suggest that KH053, comprising P. ginseng and bee-pollen, inhibits the development of BPH in Wistar rat model and might be used as functional food for BPH.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fenvalerate induced toxicity in Zebra fish, Danio rerio and analysis of biochemical changes and insights of digestive enzymes as important markers in risk assessment
Ahmed Hossam Mahmoud,Noura M. Darwish,Young Ock Kim,Ponnuswamy Viayaraghavan,Jun-Tack Kwon,Sae Won Na,Jae Chul Lee,Hak-Jae Kim +7 more
TL;DR: The present finding suggests that accumulation of fenvalerate critically alter not only the biochemical changes in the intestine, but also the specificity of protease and amylase towards various substrates.
