Environmental Management on Natural Lake Using Sediment and Hydrology Hydraulic Models

TL;DR: In this article, the authors reported on sediment concentrations at a river using a gravimetric method to investigate the hydrology system at a lake catchment and suggested sediment control steps such as creating conservation partially at the catchment, modifying the dam system, riverbank erosion control, and application of Monkey Cheek system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Seasonal variations of water quality and heavy metals in two ex-mining lake using chemometric assessment approach

TL;DR: In this paper, a preliminary assessment on water quality and heavy metals contents at Puteri Lake and Puchong Lake in Malaysia for better perspective of the emerging issues was conducted to analyze the seasonal variation of water quality.
Journal ArticleDOI

Assessing Indoor Air Quality UsingChemometric Models

TL;DR: In this paper, Zainal Abidin et al. identified the significant variables and verified the best statistical method for determining the effect of indoor air quality (IAQ) at 7 different locations in Universiti Sultan Malaysia.
Journal ArticleDOI

A preliminary study of marine water quality status using principal component analysis at three selected mangrove estuaries in East Coast Peninsular Malaysia

TL;DR: In this paper, the surface water quality of three mangrove estuaries in east coast Peninsular Malaysia was evaluated using principal component analysis (PCA), where VF1 formed strong factor loadings for pH, NH 4 -N, SAL, and TDS, and VF2 designed strong factors of BOD, TUR and Coliform and strong negative loading of DO indicating anthropogenic pollutions in the area.
Journal ArticleDOI

Air quality modelling using chemometric techniques

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented that the chemometric techniques and modelling become an excellent tool in API assessment, air pollution source identification, apportionment and can be used in designing an API monitoring network for effective air pollution resources management.
