Association of vitamin D receptor TaqI and ApaI genetic polymorphisms with nephrolithiasis and end stage renal disease: a meta-analysis.
Tajamul Hussain,Shaik Mohammad Naushad,Anwar Ahmed,Salman Alamery,Arif A. Mohammed,Mohamed O. Abdelkader,Nasser Abobakr Nasser Alkhrm +6 more
TL;DR: The present meta-analysis identifies TaqI and ApaI polymorphisms of VDR gene as risk factors for renal diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of Accelerated Weathering on Degradation Behavior of Basalt Fiber Reinforced Polymer Nanocomposites.
TL;DR: It is concluded from this work, that the mineral based composites (i.e., BFRP) has high potential for structural applications owing to its better properties than synthetic based Composites ( i.e, GFRP).
Journal ArticleDOI
Size and time-dependent induction of proinflammatory cytokines expression in brains of mice treated with gold nanoparticles
Haseeb A. Khan,Salman Alamery,Khalid E. Ibrahim,Doaa Mohamed El-Nagar,Najla Al-Harbi,Mohamad Rusop,Salman H. Alrokayan +6 more
TL;DR: Systemic administration of small sized GNPs (5 nm) induced a proinflammatory cascade in mouse brain indicating a crucial role of GNPs size on immune response and it is important to use the rightsized GNPs in order to avoid an acute phase inflammatory response that could be cytotoxic or interfere with the bioavailability of nanomaterials.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chemical Composition of Kickxia aegyptiaca Essential Oil and Its Potential Antioxidant and Antimicrobial Activities
Ahmed M. Abd-ElGawad,Yasser A. El-Amier,Giuliano Bonanomi,Abd El-Nasser G. El Gendy,Abdallah M. Elgorban,Salman Alamery,Abdelsamed I. Elshamy +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the essential oil (EO) of Kickxia aegyptiaca has been explored for the first time, as well as evaluate its antioxidant and antibacterial activities, particularly extracts of this plant that have been reported to possess various biological activities.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of Antimalarial Potential of Extracts from Alstonia boonei and Carica papaya in Plasmodium berghei -Infected Mice.
Francis O. Atanu,Favour Moses Idih,Charles Obiora Nwonuma,Helal F Hetta,Helal F Hetta,Salman Alamery,Gaber El-Saber Batiha +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the phytochemical, antioxidant, and antimalarial effects of hydromethanolic extracts of Alstonia boonei and Carica papaya.
