Journal ArticleDOI

Amidyl and Carbamyl Radicals by Stannane‐Mediated Cleavage of O‐ Benzoyl Hydroxamic Acid Derivatives.

TL;DR: O-Benzoyl hydroxamic acids react with tributylstannane in the presence of AIBN to give amidyl or carbamyl radicals which can be captured by an internal olefin this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Convergent, Modular Access to Complex Amines.

TL;DR: In this article, various xanthates can be added to N-vinyl phthalimide (II) with little formation of oligomers, if the xanthate is used in excess and the medium slightly diluted.
Journal ArticleDOI

Carbon Radical Attack on a Pyrimidine Nitrogen. An Unusual Entry into Polycyclic Aminopyrimidones.

TL;DR: In this article, a radical ring closure on a pyrimidine nitrogen leading to novel, highly functionalized bi-and tricyclic pyrimidone structures was reported, and an unexpected hydrogen atom translocation prior to the cyclization step was observed in some cases.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Convergent Synthesis of 4-Substituted 1,2,3,4-Tetrahydroisoquinolin-1-ones.

TL;DR: In this article, a variety of 4-substituted 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinolin-1-ones 6 can be prepared by a two step radical sequence: intermolecular xanthate transfer addition to an N-allylbenzamide followed by cyclisation onto the aromatic ring.
