Journal ArticleDOI

O-CAS, a fast and universal method for siderophore detection

TL;DR: The popular CAS assay for siderophore detection, based on the utilization of chrome azurol S, was redesigned and optimized to produce a new, fast, non-toxic, and easy method to determine a wide variety of microorganisms capable of siderophile production on a solid medium.
Journal ArticleDOI

New bis-di-organotin compounds derived from aminoacid-imine-hexadentate ligands. Multifunctional evaluation as corrosion inhibitors, antibacterials and asphaltene dispersants/inhibitors

TL;DR: In this paper, a new class of bis-di-organotin (IV) compounds were synthesized in good yields by a one-step five molecules reaction in which intervened two molecular equivalents of leucine, one of 5,5′-methylene- bis -salicylaldehyde and either two of di- n -butyltin (IV), or diphenyltin oxides, that independently provided two bis -diorganotin derivatives.
Journal ArticleDOI

Theoretical insight and experimental elucidation of desferrioxamine B from Bacillus sp. AS7 as a green corrosion inhibitor

TL;DR: In this article, a theoretical and experimental systematic study was performed to determine the structural characteristics and functionality that siderophores must have to be used as ecological corrosion inhibitors, and the results showed that siders must have the structural and functional properties needed to resist corrosion.
