Clinical Course and Molecular Viral Shedding Among Asymptomatic and Symptomatic Patients With SARS-CoV-2 Infection in a Community Treatment Center in the Republic of Korea.

TL;DR: The results of this cohort study of symptomatic and asymptomatic patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection who were isolated in a community treatment center in Cheonan, Republic of Korea showed that viral loads in asymPTomatic patients from diagnosis to discharge tended to decrease more slowly in the time interaction trend than those in symptomatic (including presymptonomatic) patients.
Journal ArticleDOI

Predictors of mortality in Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS)

TL;DR: Clinical characteristics, cytokine/chemokine concentrations, viral shedding and antibody kinetics in 30 patients with Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS), including 6 non-survivors admitted to 3 MERS-designated hospitals, found old age, low albumin, altered mentality and high pneumonia severity index score at admission were risk factors for mortality.
Journal ArticleDOI

Healthcare use and prescription patterns associated with adult asthma in Korea: analysis of the NHI claims database.

TL;DR: The aim of this study is to estimate the prevalence of adult asthma and to investigate asthma‐related healthcare use and prescription patterns in Korea over 5 years.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effectiveness of surgical, KF94, and N95 respirator masks in blocking SARS-CoV-2: a controlled comparison in 7 patients.

TL;DR: Surgical masks were less effective in filtering viral particles from coughing patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection, and N95 masks and its equivalents efficiently blocked Sars-Cov-2 particles from cough patients.
Journal ArticleDOI

Validation of the cephalosporin intradermal skin test for predicting immediate hypersensitivity: a prospective study with drug challenge

TL;DR: This study aimed to determine the predictive value of cephalosporin intradermal skin testing before administration of the drug.
