Stochastic phenomena in a fiber Raman amplifier

TL;DR: In this paper, the mapping of the Raman scattering-based nonlinearity, the random birefringence of a fiber, and the pump-to-signal intensity noise transfer has been done in terms of the fiber Raman amplifier parameters, namely polarization mode dispersion, the relative intensity noise of the pump laser, fiber length, and signal power.
Proceedings Article

Picosecond, 60 kW peak power, Yb fibre source

TL;DR: In this article, a 2 ps fiber laser operating in Yb-wavelength range with 60 kW peak and 9 W average powers was demonstrated, using a self-starting, ring-fibre-cavity Yb oscillator with spectral gain/pulse-duration control.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

All-fibre, 2ps Yb laser with 60kW peak power

TL;DR: In this article, a 2-20ps pulse duration fiber laser with up to 60kW peak and 9W average powers was demonstrated in 2m-long, Yb-doped fiber.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Routes to all-fiber format femtosecond compression in microstructured fibers around 1/spl mu/m

TL;DR: In this paper, all-fibre pulse compression of ps Yb-Fibre lasers was demonstrated using solid and air-core microstructured fibers, achieving peak powers of up to 60 kW.
