Characteristic parameters and dynamics of two-qubit system in self-assembled monolayers

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed the use of nitronylnitroxide substituted with methyl group and 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin organic radicals as 1/2-spin qubits for self-assembled monolayer quantum devices.

Sampling electronic structure QUBOs with Ocean and Mukai solvers

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compare the performance of two implementations of qbsolv: the original open-source qbsOLv which is a part of the D-Wave Ocean tools and a new Mukai QUBO solver from Quantum Computing Inc.

Downfolding the Molecular Hamiltonian Matrix using Quantum Community Detection.

TL;DR: The use of Quantum Community Detection performed using the D-Wave quantum annealer to reduce the molecular Hamiltonian matrix without chemical knowledge is introduced.
Journal ArticleDOI

Impact of Graphene Quantum Dot Edge Morphologies on Their Optical Properties.

TL;DR: In this article , the optoelectronic properties of functionalized graphene quantum dots (GQDs) have been explored by simulating electronic structure of three different shapes of GQDs containing exclusively zigzag or armchair edges in both pristine and functionalized forms.
Journal ArticleDOI

Observation of breather and soliton in a substituted polythiophene with a degenerate ground state

TL;DR: In this paper, the ultrafast dynamics of a unique polythiophene derivative that has a degenerate ground state due to an alternating benzenoid-quinoid resonance were investigated using a sub-5-fs pulse laser and a detection system composed of a polychromator and a multichannel lock-in amplifier.
