TL;DR: The results showed the critical role of particles' surface charges on the aggregation behaviors of n-TiO2 that HA plays more significantly than E2 and the mobility distance of aggregated n- TiO2 was dramatically influenced by the surface modification with both HA and/or E2 between particles and media.

Enzymatic digestion of chronic wasting disease prions bound to soil.
TL;DR: Although adsorbed prions do retain relative resistance to enzymatic digestion compared with other brain homogenate proteins, they can be effectively degraded when bound to soil, and a topical application of a subtilisin enzyme solution may be an effective decontamination method to limit disease transmission via environmental "hot spots" of prion infectivity.

TL;DR: In this paper, a study of staff and students in 3 urban public schools in Omaha, Nebraska, showed that weekly screening of asymptomatic staff by saliva polymerase chain reaction testing was associated with increased SARS-CoV-2 case detection, exceeding infection rates reported at the county level.
