Influences of deposited metal material parameters on weld pool geometry during shield metal arc welding

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of deposited metal material parameters, including surface tension gradient, magnetic permittivity, and thermal expansion coefficient, on weld pool geometry were investigated, and a classification method for deposited metals was proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Waste heat recovery method for the air pre-purification system of an air separation unit

TL;DR: In this paper, a three-bed temperature swing adsorber was built to recover low-temperature waste heat from heat and cold-blowing stages in a double molecular sieve of an air pre-purification system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of the Addition of α-Si3N4 on the Direct Nitridation of Silicon Powder at Atmospheric Pressure

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of adding α-Si3N4 diluent on the nitridation of silicon powder was studied at 1550 and atmospheric pressure, and the results showed that the conversion of silicon is improved considerably by increasing the adding proportion of αSi3 N4 dilument, and that the sinterability of silicon nitride decreases as the content of β phase increases.
Journal ArticleDOI

Impacts of torch moving on phase change and fluid flow in weld pool of SMAW

TL;DR: In this paper, the phase change and elements distribution of welding process with torch trace of moving without swing and with e-type swing was simulated and the results showed that the geometry of the weld pool under torch trace without swing transfers from initial V-type to final O-type.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental Study on the Relationship between Carrier Gas Temperature and Entrainment Characteristics of Ultrafine Silicon Powder in Fluidized Bed

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of carrier gas temperature on entrainment characteristics of Geldart group C powder from solid mixtures (groups A and C) was investigated in a fluidized bed, which was 40mm in inner diameter and 150mm in height.
