A dynamic perspective on the key drivers of innovation-led lean approaches to achieve sustainability in manufacturing supply chain

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper employed fuzzy logic and Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution (Fuzzy TOPSIS) to prioritize the key drivers of innovation-led lean approaches to achieve sustainability in the manufacturing supply chain based on the evaluations of experts in the Chinese electronics sector.
Journal ArticleDOI

Trust based decisions in supply chains with an agent

TL;DR: The trust updating model effectively embodies the idea of punishment for opportunism and maliciously recommended behavior which are brought about under the influence of the selfish commission agent; that trust value will decline rapidly when consecutive trading failure occurs or the commission agent begins to have opportunistic behavior.
Journal ArticleDOI

Exploring network effects of point-to-point networks: An investigation of the spatial patterns of Southwest Airlines’ network

TL;DR: Examining the spatial patterns of Southwest airlines' route network during Southwest's major network expansionary period for completing continental US geographic coverage between 1990 and 2006 helps predict how emerging LCC networks in other large aviation market, such as China, are likely to be developed over time if regulators give carriers reasonable freedom to develop their service network efficiently.
Journal ArticleDOI

Prospects for air policy liberalization in China as a Result of China-ASEAN Open Skies: Changing role of Chinese mega carriers in global scene and anticipated Low Cost Carrier competition

TL;DR: In this article, the authors predict the direction of change in China's airline policy in the next decade by reviewing performance of Chinese mega airlines and predicting their changing global role which will have strong influence on Chinese air policy, changing role of airline industry in the modern economy, and impacts of South East Asian LCCs' penetration into a large number of Chinese major cities enabled by the recent China-ASEAN Open Skies Agreement, and its anticipated impacts on China's LCC policy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Performance evaluation of supply chain networks with assembly structure under system disruptions

TL;DR: A discrete time model is proposed, which could describe the characteristics of network-wide system disruptions and provide rapid performance evaluation of SCNs with assembly structure and suggests that component suppliers with higher reliability in the downstream stages will deliver better system performance in both lost sales and backorder scenarios.
