Journal ArticleDOI

Energy, exergy, and economic (3E) analyses and multi-objective optimization of a cascade absorption refrigeration system for low-grade waste heat recovery

TL;DR: In this paper, an innovative cascade absorption refrigeration (CAR) system for recovering low-grade waste heat is proposed, and the energy, exergy and economic analyses of the cascade refrigeration system have been conducted.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multi-objective capacity optimization of a distributed energy system considering economy, environment and energy

TL;DR: A DES driven by solar, geothermal, aerothermal, natural gas and power grid is constructed with energy conversion devices modeled based on part load performance, and a novel operation strategy for the DES is presented considering the complementary characteristics of different energy sources.
Journal ArticleDOI

Life cycle energy consumption and GHG emissions of biomass-to-hydrogen process in comparison with coal-to-hydrogen process

TL;DR: In this article, coal-to-hydrogen (CTH) and BTH processes are modeled and studied, based on the simulation results, the life cycle analysis energy consumption (EC) and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of CTH and BH processes are performed, and suggestions are proposed for the sustainable development of the hydrogen industry, which is of great significance to reduce GHG emissions and improve energy efficiency.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of a Full CO2 Capture Process Based on the Rectisol Wash Technology

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a full CO2 capture process based on Rectisol wash technologies, with all CO2 captured by appropriate energy consumption, where the stripping N2 tower in the conventional process is replaced by a five-stage flash process.
Journal ArticleDOI

Techno-economic analysis of biomass-to-hydrogen process in comparison with coal-to-hydrogen process

TL;DR: In this article, the first and second laws of thermodynamics were used to evaluate the energy efficiency of coal-to-hydrogen (CTH) and BTH (Biomass to Hydrogen) processes.
