Journal ArticleDOI
Personalized product configuration framework in an adaptable open architecture product platform
TL;DR: In this article, a conceptual framework of a personalized product configuration system based on the adaptable open architecture product platform is proposed, where the technical configurator is enabled by a two-stage process (i.e. modular design and scalable design) to ensure the adaptability and scalability of product variety, while the sales configurators are established by considering each customer's preferences and conducting the configuration process in an ETO manner.
Journal ArticleDOI
Blockchain-based shared manufacturing in support of cyber physical systems: concept, framework, and operation
TL;DR: BSM framework complementarily combines the blockchain and SharedMfg, beneficial to promote both modes.
Journal ArticleDOI
User-experience Based Product Development for Mass Personalization: A Case Study
TL;DR: A three-model based (i.e. physical model, cyber model and user experience model) generic framework for conducting user experience based product development for mass personalization is proposed and a case study of a personalized smart wearable product development is described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Shared manufacturing in the sharing economy: Concept, definition and service operations
TL;DR: A hybrid integration and interoperable SharedMfg architecture is proposed to ensure the provision of SMS in efficiency and effectiveness and a dynamic SMS scheduling method in support of the technologies of Complex Network Analysis is presented.
