Journal ArticleDOI
FBXW7 alleviates hyperglycemia-induced endothelial oxidative stress injury via ROS and PARP inhibition
Shenping Li,Junjie Deng,Dandan Sun,Shimei Chen,Xieyi Yao,Ning Wang,Jian Zhang,Qiong Gu,Shuchang Zhang,Jing J. Wang,Shaoping Zhu,Hong Zhu,Huiming Li,Xun Xu,Fang Wei +14 more
TL;DR: In this article , the role and mechanism of FBXW7 in repairing endothelial oxidative stress injuries under hyperglycemic conditions was investigated, and the abundant mobilization of DNA damage repair mediated by FBW7 suppressed PARP activation, leading to downregulation of PARP expression and activity in both human and diabetic rat retinas.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aberrant HO-1/NQO1–Reactive Oxygen Species–ERK Signaling Pathway Contributes to Aggravation of TPA-Induced Irritant Contact Dermatitis in Nrf2-Deficient Mice
Junkai Huang,Xiaoyue Feng,Jie-Yu Zeng,Shuchang Zhang,Jing Zhang,Pan Guo,Haoyue Yu,Mengke Sun,Jiangmei Wu,Mengyan Li,Yingxi Li,Xiaohua Wang,Lizhi Hu +12 more
TL;DR: The study demonstrated that the ear thickness, redness, swelling, and neutrophil infiltration were significantly increased, accompanied by increased expression of inflammatory cytokines and decreased expression of antioxidant genes (HO-1 and NQO1) in Nrf2 knockout mice.
Journal ArticleDOI
The potential role of circRNA_004229 in hair/epidermal regulation after MED1 ablation in keratinocytes
TL;DR: The expression profile of circRNAs in MED1 KO skin is determined, and hints that circRNA_004229 might be involved in the regulation of keratinocytes in both hair follicles and interfollicular epidermis through a ceRNA mechanism are provided.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phospholipase C epsilon mediates cytokine cascade induced by acute disruption of epidermal permeability barrier in mice.
TL;DR: The role of PLCε in cutaneous inflammation induced by acute abrogation of epidermal permeability barrier is determined and knockdown of P LCε with its siRNA decreased expression of IL-1α, CCL20, and S100 proteins, and MBD3 in HEK cultures suggested that PLCα mediated cytokine cascade induced by urgent barrier disruption.
