Coordination-Driven In Situ Self-Assembly Strategy for the Preparation of Metal-Organic Framework Hybrid Membranes
TL;DR: This work proposed a simple and powerful strategy, namely, coordination-driven in situ self-assembly, for the fabrication of MOF hybrid membranes that was confirmed to be feasible for the production of a stable membrane with greatly improved MOF-particle dispersion in and compatibility with the polymer, thus providing outstanding separation ability.
Journal ArticleDOI
Self-assembly of graphene oxide and polyelectrolyte complex nanohybrid membranes for nanofiltration and pervaporation
TL;DR: In this paper, a new nanohybrid membrane was prepared by incorporating graphene oxide (GO) into polyelectrolyte complexes (PECs), which were sequentially assembled onto a hydrolyzed polyacrylonitrile ultrafiltration supporting membrane.
Journal ArticleDOI
Graphene oxide membranes with stable porous structure for ultrafast water transport.
Wen-Hai Zhang,Ming-Jie Yin,Qiang Zhao,Cheng-Gang Jin,Naixin Wang,Shulan Ji,Cody L. Ritt,Menachem Elimelech,Quan-Fu An +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a highly stable and ultrapermeable zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8)-nanocrystal-hybridized GOm that is prepared by ice templating and subsequent in situ crystallization of ZIF-eight at the nanosheet edges.
Journal ArticleDOI
Layer-by-layer self-assembly of polycation/GO nanofiltration membrane with enhanced stability and fouling resistance
TL;DR: In this article, a polycation/GO multilayer membrane was used to remove dye from water, and the results showed that the removal rate reached 6.42 kg/m−m−2 h−1/bar−1 and 99.2% respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simultaneous Spray Self‐Assembly of Highly Loaded ZIF‐8–PDMS Nanohybrid Membranes Exhibiting Exceptionally High Biobutanol‐Permselective Pervaporation
TL;DR: The simultaneous spray self-assembly of a zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF)-polymer suspension and a cross-linker/catalyst solution as a method for the fabrication of a well-dispersed ZIF-8-PDMS nanohybrid membrane with an extremely high loading is reported.
