TL;DR: A new species of Sporoxeia (Melastomataceae), S. vietnamensis, was described from northern Vietnam as mentioned in this paper , which is morphologically similar to S. blastifolia in having obtusely quadrangular stems, slightly unequal leaf blades with cuneate bases, and two secondary veins on each side of midvein.

TL;DR: This new species is morphologically similar to B. malipoensis in having tomentose stems and leaves, cordate leaf blades in unequal pairs, an umbellate inflorescence, and undulate petals with an unguiculate base and retuse apex, but differs by having bullates leaf blades, white hypanthia and elliptic calyx lobes.
