Verônica Soares Brauer,Caroline Patini Rezende,André Moreira Pessoni,Renato Graciano de Paula,Kanchugarakoppal S. Rangappa,Siddaiah Chandra Nayaka,Vijai Kumar Gupta,Fausto Almeida +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss the use of antifungal agents in agriculture worldwide, the need to develop new ant-agents, and improvement of regulations regarding ant-drug use.
Journal ArticleDOI
Detection of Tobacco mosaic virus and Tomato mosaic virus in pepper and tomato by multiplex RT–PCR
Sunil Kumar,A. C. Udaya Shankar,Siddaiah Chandra Nayaka,Ole Søgaard Lund,Harischandra Sripathy Prakash +4 more
TL;DR: This study uses the multiplex PCR technique to detect dual infection of Tobacco mosaic virus and Tomato mosaic virus in pepper and tomato.
Journal ArticleDOI
Methotrexate Promotes Platelet Apoptosis via JNK-Mediated Mitochondrial Damage: Alleviation by N -Acetylcysteine and N -Acetylcysteine Amide
Manoj S. Paul,Mahadevappa Hemshekhar,R.M. Thushara,Mahalingam S. Sundaram,Somanathapura K. NaveenKumar,S. Naveen,S. Devaraja,Kumar Somyajit,Robert West,Basappa,Siddaiah Chandra Nayaka,Uzma I. Zakai,Ganesh Nagaraju,Kanchugarakoppal S. Rangappa,Kempaiah Kemparaju,Kesturu S. Girish +15 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that platelet mitochondria as prime sources of ROS which plays a central role in MTX-induced apoptosis, and the use of antioxidants as supplementary therapy seems to be a safe bet in pathologies associated with altered platelet functions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Crocin, a dietary additive protects platelets from oxidative stress-induced apoptosis and inhibits platelet aggregation
R.M. Thushara,Mahadevappa Hemshekhar,M. Sebastin Santhosh,S. Jnaneshwari,Siddaiah Chandra Nayaka,S. Naveen,Kempaiah Kemparaju,Kesturu S. Girish +7 more
TL;DR: Crocin can be deemed as a prospective candidate in the treatment regime of platelet-associated diseases because of its anti-apoptotic effect as well as inhibitory effects on platelet aggregation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Control of Fusarium verticillioides, cause of ear rot of maize, by Pseudomonas fluorescens.
Siddaiah Chandra Nayaka,Arakere C. Udaya Shankar,Munagala S. Reddy,Siddapura Ramachandrappa Niranjana,Harishchandra S. Prakash,H. S. Shetty,C. N. Mortensen +6 more
TL;DR: The study demonstrates the potential role of P. fluorescens and its formulations in ear rot disease management and the biocontrol potential of this isolate is more suited for fumonisin reduction in maize kernels intended for human and animal feed.
