Journal ArticleDOI
Fertilizing ability of DNA-damaged spermatozoa.
Ali Ahmadi,Soon-Chye Ng +1 more
TL;DR: The present study clearly shows that DNA-damaged sperm (regardless of degree of damage) have the ability to fertilize the oocyte, but that embryonic development is very much related to the degree of DNA damage.
Journal ArticleDOI
Isolation and culture of inner cell mass cells from human blastocysts.
TL;DR: This is the first report on the successful isolation of human ICM cells and their continued culture for at least two passages in vitro.
Journal ArticleDOI
Strategies for directing the differentiation of stem cells into the cardiomyogenic lineage in vitro
TL;DR: There is a strong possibility that some degree of cardiomyogenic differentiation of stem cells in vitro prior to transplantation would result in higher engraftment efficiency, as well as enhanced myocardial regeneration and recovery of heart function.
Journal ArticleDOI
Centrioles in the beginning of human development.
A.H. Sathananthan,Ismail Kola,J Osborne,Alan O Trounson,Soon-Chye Ng,Ariff Bongso,S. S. Ratnam +6 more
TL;DR: The data provide evidence that human centrioles, as those in most other animals, and unlike the mouse, are paternally derived, thus supporting Boveri's classical theory.
