Approaches for retrofitting heat exchanger networks within processes and Total Sites
Lidija Čuček,Stanislav Boldyryev,Jiří Jaromír Klemeš,Zdravko Kravanja,Goran Krajačić,Petar Sabev Varbanov,Neven Duić +6 more
TL;DR: This study presents developed approaches that could be used for retrofitting of existing heat exchanger networks (HENs) within individual processes and industrial sites to achieve lower energy consumption, cost savings and emission reduction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Integration of a heat pump into the heat supply system of a cheese production plant
TL;DR: In this paper, an inspection of a cheese production plant has been conducted and the opportunity to heat integration of an existing ammonia refrigeration unit into technological process is considered, which can be achieved by detailed inspection of the technological streams system and further heat integration into a heating system of the enterprise.
Journal ArticleDOI
Appropriate integration of geothermal energy sources by Pinch approach: Case study of Croatia
TL;DR: In this article, a methodology of a possible integration of geothermal energy within residential, commercial and industrial systems was attempted, where pinch analysis was used to find the best ways to fulfil the energy system requirements in an efficient, clean and cost-effective way.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis of energy saving by combination of distillation and pervaporation for biofuel production
TL;DR: In this article, it is shown how the energy demand, MJ/kgEthanol energy, can be saved applying pervaporation process with different separation factors and operating modes.
