Influence of disease prevalence on cost-effectiveness of magnetic resonance imaging versus coronary angiography combined with fractional flow reserve testing
Karine Moschetti,David Favre,Christophe Pinget,Guenter Pilz,Steffen E. Petersen,Anja Wagner,Jean-Blaise Wasserfallen,Juerg Schwitter +7 more
TL;DR: The goal of the study was to compare the cost-effectiveness ratio defined as the costs per patient correctly diagnosed of two algorithms used to diagnose hemodynamically significant CAD in relation to the pretest likelihood of CAD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genome-Wide Analysis of Left Ventricular Maximum Wall Thickness in the UK Biobank Cohort Reveals a Shared Genetic Background With Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
Nay Aung,Luis R. Lopes,Stefan van Duijvenboden,Andrew R. Harper,Anuj Goel,Christopher Grace,Carolyn Y. Ho,William S. Weintraub,Christopher J. Cramer,Stefan Neubauer,Hugh Watkins,Steffen E. Petersen,Patricia B. Munroe +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors performed a genome-wide association study of left ventricular maximum wall thickness (LVMWT) measured from the cardiovascular magnetic resonance examinations of 42 176 European individuals.
Journal Article
Transabdominal ultrasonography plus urine cytology in control of benign bladder tumours.
Steffen E. Petersen,Lundbeck F,Brandsborg O,Steensskov,Siem-Jørgensen P,Niels Harving,Hans Wolf +6 more
TL;DR: Ultrasonography plus urine cytology is only acceptable for control of patients with very little risk of invasive and few non-invasive recurrences, i.e. patients with previous Ta, grade I or II transitional cell tumours and no Recurrences after 1 or 2 control cystoscopies.
Journal Article
Left ventricular non-compaction (LVNC): Insights from cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging
Steffen E. Petersen,Joseph B. Selvanayagam,Frank Wiesmann,Matthew D. Robson,J M Francis,Robert H. Anderson,Hugh Watkins,S Neubauer +7 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Gender specific differences in left ventricular remodelling in obesity may explain differences in obesity related mortality
Oliver J Rider,Adam J. Lewandowski,Richard Nethononda,Steffen E. Petersen,Alex Pitcher,Cameron J. Holloway,Rajarshi Banerjee,James P. Byrne,Paul Leeson,Stefan Neubauer +9 more
TL;DR: Investigating whether sex-specific differences in LV remodeling could provide an additional explanation for the observed gender difference in obesity related mortality found that males have less fat tissue than females at each BMI level.
