Heparin-induced thrombocytopenia syndrome complicating percutaneous coronary intervention
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Abstract B33: Expansion study of pegylated arginine deiminase (ADI-PEG20), pemetrexed, and cisplatin in patients with ASS1-deficient non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (TRAP)
Melissa Phillips,Teresa Szyszko,Peter Hall,Sukaina Rashid,Ramsay Khadeir,Louise Lim,Jeremy P.C. Steele,John Conibear,Paula Wells,Stephen G. Ellis,Xiaoxing Feng,Jim Thomson,Amanda Johnston,Bor-Wen Wu,John S. Bomalaski,Simon Pacey,Gary Cook,Peter W. Szlosarek +17 more
TL;DR: The ADIPemCis regimen is active in ASS1-deficient non-squamous NSCLC pts with a higher than expected response rate, however, the short survival (PFS and OS) compared withASS1-agnostic historical controls indicates that ASS1 loss selects for a biologically more aggressive phenotype ofNSCLC.
Journal ArticleDOI
An alarming trend: change in risk profile of patients with st elevation myocardial infarction over the last two decades
Amgad Mentias,Amr F. Barakat,Mohammad Q. Raza,Haris Riaz,Stephen G. Ellis,E. Murat Tuzcu,Samir R. Kapadia +6 more
TL;DR: Changes in risk profile of patients presenting with ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) between 1995 and 2014 were sought to study.

TL;DR: A significant reduction in infarct size and LV mass occurs during the initial six months following reperfused STEMI that is unaffected by BMC administration and after two years, the initial improvement in LV function remained stable in both groups but is accompanied by a small, non-significant increase in LV volumes.
