Journal ArticleDOI
Differential penetration of raltegravir throughout gastrointestinal tissue: implications for eradication and cure.
Kristine B. Patterson,Heather M.A. Prince,Trenton Stevens,Nicholas J. Shaheen,Evan S. Dellon,Ryan D. Madanick,Steven H. Jennings,Myron S. Cohen,Angela D. M. Kashuba +8 more
TL;DR: The data suggest that RAL should result in full suppression of viral replication in GI tissue and GALT and remain higher than any antiretroviral investigated to date.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Phenotype–Genotype Approach to Predicting CYP450 and P-Glycoprotein Drug Interactions With the Mixed Inhibitor/Inducer Tipranavir/Ritonavir
Julie B. Dumond,Manoli Vourvahis,Naser L. Rezk,Kristine B. Patterson,Hsiao Chuan Tien,Nicholas J. White,Steven H. Jennings,S. O. Choi,J. Li,Michael J. Wagner,Ninh M. La-Beck,M. Drulak,John P. Sabo,Mark Castles,Thomas R. MacGregor,Angela D. M. Kashuba +15 more
TL;DR: Although mixed induction and inhibition are present, this approach offers an understanding of drug interaction mechanisms and ultimately assists in optimizing the clinical use of TPV/r.
Journal ArticleDOI
A novel LC-ESI-MS method for the simultaneous determination of etravirine, darunavir and ritonavir in human blood plasma.
TL;DR: A novel LC-MS method for the simultaneous quantification of the most recently FDA-approved protease inhibitor and non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor is described, and provides excellent chromatographic separation and peak shape for all three analytes and internal standard.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single- and multiple-dose pharmacokinetics of darunavir plus ritonavir and etravirine in semen and rectal tissue of HIV-negative men.
Kevin C. Brown,Kristine B. Patterson,Steven H. Jennings,Stephanie Malone,Nicholas J. Shaheen,Heather M.A. Prince,Melissa Spacek,Myron S. Cohen,Angela D. M. Kashuba +8 more
TL;DR: The high protein-unbound exposures in SP and total exposures in RT support further investigations of darunavir plus ritonavir and etravirine in secondary prevention and high RT concentrations may also be favorable for suppressing viral replication in the gastrointestinal mucosa.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pharmacokinetics of two common antiretroviral regimens in older HIV-infected patients: a pilot study
Julie B. Dumond,Jessica L. Adams,Heather M.A. Prince,Racheal L. Kendrick,Ruili Wang,Steven H. Jennings,Stephanie Malone,Nicole White,Craig Sykes,Amanda H Corbett,Kristine B. Patterson,Alan Forrest,Angela D. M. Kashuba +12 more
TL;DR: The steady‐state PK of two common ARV regimens [tenofovir (TFV)/emtricitabine (FTC)/efavirenz (EFV) and TFV/FTC/atazanavir (ATV/ritonavir) in older nonfrail HIV‐infected patients are presented.
