TL;DR: It is confirmed that interstitial protium may act as a shallow donor in zinc oxide, by direct spectroscopic observation of its muonium counterpart, and results for the cadmium chalcogenides suggest that such shallow donor states are generic to the II-VI compounds.

TL;DR: In this article, a new method for growing cadmium mercury telluride (CMT) is described where alternate thin layers of CdTe and HgTe are grown by metalorganic vapour phase epitaxy (MOVPE) and allowed to interdiffuse at the growth temperature.

Organometallic growth of II–VI compounds
TL;DR: In this article, a review of development in the organometallic growth of II-VI compounds is presented with an emphasis on epitaxial growth related problems. But the authors do not consider the growth of specific compounds using alkyls of Zn, Cd or Hg with the elements O, S, Se and Te as hydrides or alkyl.
