Neuroprotective effect of wogonin in hippocampal slice culture exposed to oxygen and glucose deprivation.
TL;DR: Wogonin, a flavone found in Scutellaria baicalensis, had a protective effect on neuronal cells damaged by oxygen and glucose deprivation in rat hippocampal slices in culture, and may be a therapeutic agent for treating ischemia in patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bioactive lignans from the rhizomes of Acorus gramineus.
TL;DR: The investigation of rhizomes of Acorus gramineus afforded five new lignans, named ligraminols A-E (1-5), together with seven known ones (6-12), which were determined by a combination of 1D and 2D NMR, HRMS, CD, and enzymatic hydrolysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inhibition of tyrosinase activity by N,N-unsubstituted selenourea derivatives.
Sang Keun Ha,Mamoru Koketsu,Kunho Lee,Sang Yoon Choi,Ji-Ho Park,Hideharu Ishihara,Sun Yeou Kim +6 more
TL;DR: Three types of N,N-unsubstituted selenourea derivatives exhibited inhibitory effect on dopa (3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine) oxidase activity of mushroom tyrosinase.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of corydaline from Corydalis tuber on gastric motor function in an animal model.
TL;DR: Oral administration of corydaline not only significantly accelerated gastric emptying in normal rats but also improved delayed gastric emptied to near normal levels and induced significant gastric relaxation, shifting the pressure-volume curve towards higher volumes compared to controls.
Journal ArticleDOI
Royal jelly enhances migration of human dermal fibroblasts and alters the levels of cholesterol and sphinganine in an in vitro wound healing model
Ju-Young Kim,Youngae Kim,Hyejeong Yun,Hye Min Park,Sun Yeou Kim,Kwang-Gill Lee,Sang Mi Han,Yunhi Cho +7 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that RJ enhances the migration of fibroblasts and alters the levels of various lipids involved in the wound healing process.
