Multifunctional Fe3O4-ZnO nanocomposites for environmental remediation applications

TL;DR: In this article, a synthesis route for multifunctional (ZnO-Fe3O4) nanocomposites was developed, where the Fe3O 4 nanoparticles were decorated on the surface of ZnO and the formation of ZNO-F3O2 (ZF) was confirmed using XRD, FE-SEM and ICP-OES.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biotransformation modulates the penetration of metallic nanomaterials across an artificial blood-brain barrier model.

TL;DR: In this paper, the potential of nanomaterials (NMs) to cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB), as a function of physicochemical properties and subsequent behavior, fate, and adverse effect beyond that point, is explored for evaluating the neurological effects arising from their unintentional entry into the brain.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tailoring of physicochemical properties of nanocarriers for effective anti‐cancer applications

TL;DR: The goal of this review is to present a correlation between the physicochemical properties of the nanocarriers and its intended action, and how their design based on these properties can enhance their cancer combating abilities while minimizing damage to the healthy tissues.
Journal ArticleDOI

Glycol chitosan in situ coating on PLGA nanoparticle curtails extraneous paclitaxel precipitates and imparts protein corona independent hemocompatibility.

TL;DR: It was observed that Paclitaxel (Ptxl) phase out as Extraneous Ptxl Precipitates (EPP) in case of uncoated and CMC coated low molecular weight PLGA nanoparticles (PNPs), and at similar concentration GC coating was found to provide superior hemocompatibility even in the absence of protein corona.
