Indications, techniques and results of postoperative brachytherapy in cancer of the oral cavity
M. Pernot,Pierre Aletti,J. M. Carolus,I. Marquis,Sylvette Hoffstetter,F. Maaloul,Didier Peiffert,M. Lapeyre,Elisabeth Luporsi,Christian Marchal,Alain Noel,Pierre Bey +11 more
TL;DR: Compared with the results of the literature, it is thought that postoperative brachytherapy can improve classical radiosurgical results in selected cases with a risk of local recurrence.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reduced-intensity conditioning regimen using low-dose total body irradiation before allogeneic transplant for hematologic malignancies: Experience from the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation.
Yazid Belkacemi,Myriam Labopin,Christophe Hennequin,Sylvette Hoffstetter,Raffaello Mungai,Marc R. Wygoda,Marie Lundell,Jürgen Finke,Chris Aktinson,Frédéric Lorchel,Catherine Durdux,Nadezda Basara +11 more
TL;DR: This multicenter study confirmed high rates of engraftment and chimerism after the reduced intensity regimen and radiation parameters seem to have no impact on outcome.
Journal ArticleDOI
Combined surgery and brachytherapy in the treatment of some cancers of the bladder (partial cystectomy and interstitial iridium-192)
M. Pernot,J. Hubert,Francis Guillemin,A. Six,Sylvette Hoffstetter,Didier Peiffert,J. L. Verhaeghe,Elisabeth Luporsi +7 more
TL;DR: Among early complications, delay in healing of the bladder wall with subsequent vesico-cutaneous fistula depends mainly on the loading time of radioactive wires after surgery and is rare if the loading is delayed by one week, and the late complications depend mostly on dosimetric factors.
