Journal ArticleDOI

A new determination of the binding-energy values of the light hypernuclei (A ≤ 15)

TL;DR: A new determination of the binding energy of light hypernuclei (A ⩽ 15) is reported in this paper, based on the analysis of some 27 000 π − mesonically-decaying hypernucus produced by stopping K − mesons in nuclear emulsion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Some properties of the charged Σ hyperons

TL;DR: In this paper, a sample of some 7500 K − meson captures at rest on hydrogen in emulsion giving rise to charged Σπ pairs was used to determine r, the decay branching ratio of the Σ + hyperon, λ, the ratio of Σ − to Σ+ hyperon production, τ Σ−, the lifetime of the ǫ − hyperon and C 10 −12 sec.
Journal ArticleDOI

On the binding energy values and excited states of some a ≧ 10 hypernuclei

TL;DR: The existence of a narrow particle-unstable state of 12gLC is affirmed but the previously quoted evidence for the existence of such a state of the 14ΛN hypernucleus is shown to be invalid as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Confirmation of the existence of a particle-unstable state of the Λ12C hypernucleus

TL;DR: The existence of the particle unstable resonant state of the Λ12C hypernucleus, decaying via Λ 12 C → 1 H + Λ 11 B, has been established in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI

On the decay process Λ8Li → π− + 4He + 4He

TL;DR: In this article, the mixing angle for Λ hyperon coupling to the lowest states of 7Li in the formation of Λ8Li was determined, and the allowed ranges of values of the mixing angles ϵ were found to be 0.1 to 0.4 rad. and 0.9 to 1.2 rad.
