A new determination of the binding-energy values of the light hypernuclei (A ≤ 15)
M Juric,G. Bohm,J. Klabuhn,U. Krecker,F. Wysotzki,G. Coremans-Bertrand,Jean Sacton,Gaston Wilquet,T. Cantwell,F. Esmael,A. Montwill,Dudley Davis,D. Kiełczewska,T. Pniewski,T. Tymieniecka,J. Zakrzewski +15 more
TL;DR: A new determination of the binding energy of light hypernuclei (A ⩽ 15) is reported in this paper, based on the analysis of some 27 000 π − mesonically-decaying hypernucus produced by stopping K − mesons in nuclear emulsion.
Journal ArticleDOI
Some properties of the charged Σ hyperons
D.N. Tovee,Dudley Davis,J. Simonović,G. Bohm,J. Klabuhn,F. Wysotzki,M. Csejthey-Barth,John H. Wickens,T. Cantwell,C.Ní Ghógáin,A. Montwill,K. Garbowska-Pniewska,T. Pniewski,J. Zakrzewski +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a sample of some 7500 K − meson captures at rest on hydrogen in emulsion giving rise to charged Σπ pairs was used to determine r, the decay branching ratio of the Σ + hyperon, λ, the ratio of Σ − to Σ+ hyperon production, τ Σ−, the lifetime of the ǫ − hyperon and C 10 −12 sec.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Identified $\Lambda\Lambda$-Hypernuclei and the Predicted H-Particle
Richard Henry Dalitz,D.H. Davis,Peter Howard Fowler,A. Montwill,Jacek Pniewski,J. Zakrzewski +5 more
TL;DR: The existence of the H particle, the dihyperon predicted by Jaffe, would bring into question the existence of double hypernuclei as mentioned in this paper, which would be a major blow to double hyper-nucleus theory.
Journal ArticleDOI
The non-mesonic to π− mesonic decay ratio and Λ-neutron stimulation fraction for p-shell hypernuclei
A. Montwill,P. Moriarty,Dudley Davis,T. Pniewski,T. Sobczak,O. Adamović,U. Krecker,G. Coremans-Bertrand,Jean Sacton +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the non-mesonic to π− mesonic ratio of hypernuclei of mass A ≈ 11 was obtained for the Fermi gas model.
Journal ArticleDOI
Direct observation of the decay of beauty particles into charm particles
