Some properties of the charged Σ hyperons

TLDR
In this paper, a sample of some 7500 K − meson captures at rest on hydrogen in emulsion giving rise to charged Σπ pairs was used to determine r, the decay branching ratio of the Σ + hyperon, λ, the ratio of Σ − to Σ+ hyperon production, τ Σ−, the lifetime of the ǫ − hyperon and C 10 −12 sec.

Hadronic molecules

TL;DR: In this article, the authors review experimental evidences of various candidates of hadronic molecules, and methods of identifying such structures Nonrelativistic effective field theories are the suitable framework for studying hadronic molecule, and are discussed in both the continuum and finite volumes.

Chiral dynamics in the presence of bound states: kaon–nucleon interactions revisited

TL;DR: In this article, a relativistic chiral unitary approach based on coupled channels was proposed to perform the necessary resummation of the lowest order chiral Lagrangian.

Non-perturbative chiral approach to s-wave kn interactions

TL;DR: In this article, the s-wave meson-nucleon interaction in the S = −1 sector is studied by means of coupled-channel Lippmann-Schwinger equations, using the lowest order chiral Lagrangian and a cut off to regularize the loop integrals.

Chiral dynamics and the low-energy kaon - nucleon interaction

TL;DR: In this article, the meson-baryon interaction in the strangeness S = −1 sector using an effective chiral Lagrangian was examined and the potentials derived from this Lagrangians were used in a coupled-channel calculation of the low-energy observables.

Resolution of the Σ - -Mass Anomaly

TL;DR: In this article, the mean excitational potential values required to obtain the proper masses and momentum balance in the processes were estimated to be 321 plus or minus 8 ev. The following masses were derived: SIGMA /sup +/, 1189.15 Mev; K/sup -/, 493.7 Mev.

The range-energy relation in emulsion. part ii. the theoretical range

Walter H. Barkas
- 16 Apr 1958 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors give a limiting form for Clebsch-Gordon coefficients, and a similar limiting form is given for Racah coefficients, by virtue of a lower bound.
