The characterization of palm and rice bran oil biodiesel to assess the feasibility for power generation.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of different biofuels on engine parameters, namely, fuel consumption, electrical efficiency, lower heating value, higher heating value and engine speed, were examined; also, the physical and chemical properties, such as specific gravity, moisture content, refractive index, acid value, iodine number, saponification value, and peroxide value, of the two methyl esters used in this study were estimated.
Journal Article

Topographical imaging of antigen - antibody interaction and heptatis b surface antigen on self assembled monolayer of mica

TL;DR: Heptatis surface antigen B (HBsAg) at an optimized concentration of 5 ng/ml (1:200 dilution) was successfully positioned on self assembled monolayer and its topography and surface were imaged.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of presowing seed treatments on teak (Tectona grandis L. F) drupes dormancy and germination

TL;DR: In this paper , the influence of presowing treatments on germination, seedling vigour, and biochemical attributes of fresh teak drupes collected from the seed production area of Top Slip in Tamil Nadu was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of seed orientation and sowing depths on germination and seedling vigour in Mahua (Madhuca longifolia)

TL;DR: In this paper , the effects of seed orientation and depth at the time of sowing on germination and seedling vigour of Madhuca longifolia (J.Konig.) J.Macbr.
Journal ArticleDOI

Traditional Cultivars Influence on Physical and Engineering Properties of Rice from the Cauvery Deltaic Region of Tamil Nadu

TL;DR: In this article , an assessment was made to evaluate 30 traditional rice cultivars on their Physical (grain length, width, thickness, shape, and size), gravimetric (bulk, true, tapped density, porosity, Carr's index, and Hausner ratio), and engineering characteristics (equivalent, arithmetic, square mean, and geometric mean diameter) using standard protocols, with the goal of reviving and preserving older varieties.
