TL;DR: In this paper, a survey was executed and data was collected from a wide spectrum of IT services companies in India and analyzed employing regression analysis. But, most of the literature is ambiguous, conceptual and done from the perspective of developed countries.
Abstract: Communication has assumed a critical significance in the success of any organisation that aspires to attain and sustain competitive advantage as well as bring in desired changes in employee’s attitudes and performance. While a large amount of literature is available on internal corporate communication (ICC), most of it is ambiguous, conceptual and done from the perspective of developed countries. The primary objective of this study is to model internal corporate communication (ICC) process, examining the nature of the process, the outcomes thereof; it will empirically assess the relationship between ICC and employee’s brand attitudes in terms of employee brand identification, commitment, loyalty and performance. The earlier studies have examined internal communication conceptually or primarily in the context of non-IT services organisations like hotels, hospitals, and airlines. This is probably the first attempt to develop a measure that can capture all the dimensions of ICC and takes an ICC-based perspective in understanding internal branding in Indian IT services organisations. For this, a survey was executed and data was collected from a wide spectrum of IT services companies in India and analysed employing regression analysis.

TL;DR: The purpose of this paper is to understand physicians’ perspectives on performance dimensions in public hospitals in the state of Kerala and to identify critical areas of concern, which argue well for major administrative and policy interventions.
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to understand physicians’ perspectives on performance dimensions in public hospitals in the state of Kerala and to identify critical areas of concern. A survey was conducted in 23 district hospitals using an instrument developed on Likert’s scale. Responses were obtained on the perceived ‘importance’ and actual ‘performance’ of the identified dimensions. Importance performance analysis (IPA) conducted on the data brought into focus, several areas of functioning of public hospitals wherein, both managerial and policy interventions are required. Functioning of the intensive care unit (ICU), casualty, adequate beds, autonomy, uninterrupted supply chain and availability of funds were some of the governance issues that needed urgent remedial action. Redressing these issues will increase the motivation of physicians leading to better clinical outcomes. The findings argue well for major administrative and policy interventions. Further, this would strengthen the argument for more funds for health sector within the government.

TL;DR: In this article, a vignette-based intercultural development scale was conceived on the basis of Bennett's developmental model of intercultural sensitivity, which can be used by practitioners and academics to assess the capabilities of individuals.
Abstract: Intercultural development in global employees will aid organizations to function successfully in the current global work scene. However, there is a need for a psychometrically valid and reliable measure, which can be used by practitioners and academics to assess the capabilities of individuals. This vignette based intercultural development scale was conceived on the basis of Bennett’s developmental model of intercultural sensitivity. The content was generated using interviews with international employees and subject matter experts. Psychometric properties were established with both qualitative and quantitative analysis. A sample of 461 international employees was used to test the validity of the scale. Confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis and construct validity was established with cosmopolitanism and openness to experience scales. The study confirms the scale’s dimensionality and established convergent, discriminant and nomological validity. The applications of this scale in building capabilities, talent management and strategic decisions in both practical and theoretical assessment are outlined.
