Jnaneswari,Dinesh Negi,M. K. Raju,T. Trivedi,R. K. Bhowmik +34 more
TL;DR: A 4 π multi-detector gamma-ray spectrometer named the Indian National Gamma Array (INGA) has been set up at the Inter University Accelerator Centre, New Delhi, for nuclear structure studies as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Channel coupling effects on the fusion excitation functions for Si 28 + Zr 90 , 94 in sub- and near-barrier regions
Sunil Kalkal,S.K. Mandal,N. Madhavan,E.V. Prasad,S. Verma,Akhil Jhingan,Rohit Sandal,S. Nath,J. Gehlot,B. R. Behera,Mansi Saxena,Savi Goyal,Davinder Siwal,R. B. Garg,U. D. Pramanik,Suresh Kumar,T. Varughese,K. S. Golda,S. Muralithar,A. K. Sinha,Rajeev Singh +20 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the Coupled Channel formalism to theoretically explain the observed sub-barrier fusion cross-section enhancement, which could not be explained by coupling to inelastic states alone.
Journal ArticleDOI
Elastic scattering and fusion cross sections for 7 Be, 7 Li + 27 Al systems
K. Kalita,S. Verma,Reeshu Singh,Jiten Das,Akhil Jhingan,N. Madhavan,S. Nath,T. Varughese,P. Sugathan,V. V. Parkar,K. Mahata,K. Ramachandran,A. K. Shrivastava,A. Chatterjee,S. Kailas,S. Barua,P. K. Basu,H. Majumdar,Mandira Sinha,Rupayan Bhattacharya,A. K. Sinha +20 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an optical model (OM) analysis of the quasi-elastic scattering data was carried out, and the fusion cross sections were derived at these energies by subtraction of the integrated transfer cross sections from the reaction cross sections obtained from the fits to quasielastic-scattering data.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hybrid recoil mass analyzer at IUAC — First results using gas-filled mode and future plans
N. Madhavan,S. Nath,T. Varughese,J. Gehlot,Akhil Jhingan,P. Sugathan,A. K. Sinha,Reeshu Singh,K. M. Varier,M. C. Radhakrishna,E.V. Prasad,Sunil Kalkal,G. Mohanto,J. J. Das,Rakesh Kumar,R. P. Singh,S. Barua,E. T. Subramanian,K. Rani,B. P. Ajith Kumar,K. S. Golda +35 more
TL;DR: Hybrid recoil mass analyzer (HYRA) as discussed by the authors is a dual-mode spectrometer designed to carry out nuclear reaction and structure studies in heavy and medium-mass nuclei using gas-filled and vacuum modes, respectively and has the potential to address newer domains in nuclear physics accessible using high energy, heavy-ion beams from superconducting LINAC accelerator and ECR-based high current injector system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Measurement of evaporation residue excitation functions for the F 19 + Pt 194 , 196 , 198 reactions
Varinderjit Singh,B. R. Behera,Maninder Kaur,A. Kumar,K. P. Singh,N. Madhavan,S. Nath,J. Gehlot,G. Mohanto,Akhil Jhingan,Ish Mukul,T. Varughese,Jhilam Sadhukhan,Santanu Pal,Savi Goyal,A. K. Saxena,S. Santra,S. Kailas +17 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured evaporation residue (ER) cross sections at beam energies in the range of 101-137.3 MeV and showed that an excitation energy dependent scaling of the finite-range rotating liquid drop model fission barrier is necessary to fit the experimental data.
