A comprehensive review on single phase heat transfer enhancement techniques in heat exchanger applications

TL;DR: In this article, an effort has been made to categorize the active and passive methods and review the various heat transfer techniques applied in heat exchangers, and a combined method have also been recommended which include both active and active methods.
Journal ArticleDOI

Indoor Air Quality Improvement in COVID-19 Pandemic: Review

TL;DR: In this paper, a review of all the possible measures to improve the indoor air quality taking into account the affecting parameters has been done, which can deliberately help in bringing down the impact of declined air quality and prevent future biological attacks from affecting the occupant's health.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental investigation on heat transfer enhancement due to V-shaped perforated blocks in a rectangular duct of solar air heater

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of geometrical parameters of the V-shaped perforated blocks on heat transfer and flow characteristics of rectangular duct, has been investigated experimentally and the experimental investigation encompassed the Geometrical parameter namely, relative blockage height (e / H ) of 04-10, relative pitch ratio ( P / e ) of 4-12 and open area ratio ( β ) of 5-25% at a fixed angle of attack ( α ) of 60°.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heat transfer enhancement in solar air heater duct with conical protrusion roughness ribs

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of relative ribs pitch and relative ribs height on Nusselt number and friction factor have been studied for the range of Reynolds number from 4000 to 16,000.
Journal ArticleDOI

A critical review on artificial roughness provided in rectangular solar air heater duct

TL;DR: In this paper, the Nusselt number and friction factor correlations for various roughness elements have been summarized and a comparison study of thermohydraulic performance of different roughness element has also been reported to understand the results of applications of artificial roughness.
