Irreversible Heating Measurement with Microsecond Pulse Magnet: Example of the α–θ Phase Transition of Solid Oxygen
TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the temperature change at the magnetic-field-induced α-θ phase transition of solid oxygen and found that a significant temperature increase from 13 to 37 K due to irreversible heating was observed at the first-order phase transition.
Journal ArticleDOI
Heat Capacity of the Pressure-induced Superconductivity in Itinerant Ferromagnet UGe$_2$
TL;DR: The superconducting transition was also confirmed by the appearance of the Meissner effect in the susceptibility of quasiparticles under high pressure in UGe$_2$.
Journal ArticleDOI
High-field magnetization of URu2Si2 under high pressure
Tetsutaro Inoue,K. Kindo,H. Okuni,Kazuhiko Sugiyama,Yoshinori Haga,E. Yamamoto,Tatsuo C. Kobayashi,Yoshiya Uwatoko,Yoshichika Onuki +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility and the high-field magnetization up to 55 T was measured for URu2Si2 under high pressures up to 1 GPa.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pressure–temperature phase diagrams of some heavy fermion systems
Tatsuo C. Kobayashi,H. Hidaka,H. Hidaka,Toru Fujiwara,Masahiko Tanaka,Keiki Takeda,Teruhiko Akazawa,Teruhiko Akazawa,Katsuya Shimizu,Shingo Kirita,R. Asai,H. Nakawaki,Miho Nakashima,Rikio Settai,E. Yamamoto,Yoshinori Haga,Yoshichika Onuki,Yoshichika Onuki +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the pressure-temperature phase diagrams in U3P4, UP2, CeAgSb2 and CeMg2Cu9 by means of the electrical resistivity.
Journal ArticleDOI
A study of Ni-substitution effects on heavy-fermion CeCu 2Si 2-Similarities between Ni substitution and high-pressure effects
Yoichi Ikeda,Shingo Araki,Tatsuo C. Kobayashi,Yusei Shimizu,Tatsuya Yanagisawa,Hiroshi Amitsuka +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of Ni substitution on Ce(Cu 1- x Ni x ) 2 Si 2 have been studied by specific heat and electrical resistivity measurements, and specific heat measurement has revealed that the enhanced quantum fluctuations around an antiferromagnetic quantum critical point are markedly suppressed by Ni substitution, and that the Fermi liquid state recovers in the Ni-rich region.
