TL;DR: ASL imaging showed significant CBF asymmetry in a wider range of brain regions in patients with CBS, which suggests that noninvasive MRI with ASL imaging is a promising tool for the diagnosis of CBS, with advantages that include the simultaneous evaluation of asymmetrical hypoperfusion in addition to focal atrophy.

TL;DR: It is hypothesized that heterogeneity in tumor metabolism recorded by new image-analysis statistical tool, texture analysis, designed to report tumor heterogeneity in FDG uptake is reflective of tumor biologic heterogeneity and could be used as a biomarker to predict patient outcome.
